Anti-Fraud Policy

Last updated:

Fraud destroys trust, and trust is what POWER Family is built on. This policy explains how we prevent fraud, how the Fraud Registry works and what happens to people who commit fraud.

1. How the platform prevents fraud

  • Every deal runs through an official POWER Family middleman. The buyer pays the middleman, the seller is paid only after the buyer confirms full ownership, and both sides sign declarations that are kept on the deal.
  • Deal timers: every step has a deadline. A member who misses one is penalised and the deal goes to the team.
  • After a completed asset deal the buyer has a warranty window (7 days by default) to report that the seller took the asset back. If the claim is upheld the seller owes the full price.
  • Payments to POWER Family are checked for reused transaction IDs and reused receipt screenshots, and only confirmed by the team.
  • Listings are reviewed, sellers build a Trust Score from real history, and identity verification is available to every member.

2. Common scams — never fall for them

  • Someone asks you to pay or deliver outside the deal room, or "skip the middleman to save the fee".
  • A "middleman" contacts you privately. Real middlemen are assigned inside the deal room and carry the official badge.
  • Fake payment screenshots, or messages pretending to be from the POWER Family team.
  • Links that ask for your password or a login code.

3. The Fraud Registry

  • Signed-in members can report a person who defrauded them. A report needs a clear story (at least 30 characters), the fraud type and evidence images. Official documents of the person can be attached privately.
  • Every report is reviewed and approved or rejected by the team before it is published. Unapproved reports are visible only to the reporter and the team.
  • Published entries, their evidence and photos of the person are visible to signed-in members only. Private documents are never published; only the team and the reporter can see them.
  • The reporter's identity is shown only to the team and the reporter, to protect members from retaliation.
  • Members can add more evidence to a published entry; the team reviews it before it is added.

4. Appeals

  • Anyone, including the person listed, can appeal an entry with an explanation (at least 30 characters) and supporting files. One appeal can be open at a time, and the reporter is told about it.
  • The team reviews the appeal. If it is dismissed, the entry stays. If it is upheld, the entry is cleared, every member is notified of the correction and POWER Family publicly apologises to the person.

5. Consequences of fraud

  • A seller with an approved Fraud Registry entry is removed from the marketplace and their advertising stops.
  • The team may hide content, restrict trading or suspend the account, temporarily or permanently, and may record penalties that block trading until paid.
  • Serious cases may be reported to the Egyptian authorities, and we cooperate with lawful requests.

6. Reporting

Use the Report button on any listing, comment, Academy post or profile, or open a dispute in your deal room. Reports are private.
